State Pastor’s Ponderings for April/May 2025
I trust that each of you reading this had a wonderful day in the Lord yesterday as we celebrated Resurrection Day!  Your postings on FaceBook of the celebrations throughout the state have been wonderful to read.  And God granted us a beautiful Spring day in which to celebrate.  Fran and I worshiped with Eastland First in Lexington and Pastor Jarad taught us “the cross is total sacrifice” (his quote) and “the empty tomb is total victory!” (his quote).  Those two statements are the summation of the greatest story ever told.  A love so great it bears the weight of brokenness which sin brings and liberates the soul to a restorative relationship with the Creator God, our Heavenly Father.  Romans 6:23 teaches “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”  That is the Easter story!  Jesus paid the debt of sin and died for all.  God the Father was faithful and raised Jesus from the tomb so that we can have eternal life.  Total sacrifice and total victory!
Allow now to shift gears slightly.  There are many opportunities for spiritual growth taking place in the next few weeks.   WCGKY Convention in Eastland, April 25th & 26th.   Pastor’s Fellowship May 4th -6th with the Hymn Sing on Sunday evening May 4th.  June is summer camp month. Visit kycog.org for camp information.  Pastors and Ministers, June 2-6 is a Preaching Clinic held in Anderson.  Check out our website for more information or give me a call if interested.  Ky Ministries will pay the registration fee for any pastor/minister who wishes to attend.
Finally, credentialed ministers please consider registering for the virtual General Assembly held June 28- July 2.  Visit jesusisthesubject.com to register. The cost is $29.  Your vote matters on all things regarding the Church of God.
You are prayed for daily and I value your ministry to God’s people.
